Stand Up Man - Cover Photo Released

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Hello All…

The new album is at the factory, getting mass produced. We’re going to be doing some CRAZY stuff with this music. Fun and crazy packages of CD’s, posters, t-shirts, and other things. We’ll be announcing that all very soon.

But the cover of the album has been completed and we wanted to post it here first.

Hey!

We had a great time with the fine folks at The Cowboy Palace in Chatsworth. Special thanks to Terry Hanson for doing the hard work of organizing this event. I’ve put some video of the show on the VIDEO page…but I’ll put a couple teaser clips here.

Follow Me on Twitter…

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Let’s live my boring life TOGETHER.

Read about every run to the dry cleaners, every late night in an LA dive bar, every gig where the dressing room turns out to be a broom closet. And you can tweet about your boring life as well. We’ll be like pen pals that share the mundane kinds of things that most people leave out of letters. Comeon…it’ll be fun. sorta.

Sunday, March 22, 2009

I’ll be appearing on a Internet Radio show called Music Evolution Revolution, hosted by LA singer/songwriter lady-about-town Kelly McGrath.

The show is at 7pm but I’ll post a link or a download of the show here as soon as I have the information.

Kelly is from Tennessee originally, grew up in a log cabin like Abraham Lincoln!

UPDATE:

Just a heads up you can listen live by going to http://latalkradio.com/live.shtml and clicking on the Channel One button.

If you want to call in (!) and talk to me, (and really who wouldn’t?) the number is listed on this show page…it’s 1-323-203-0815.

LA Americana Salutes AC/DC

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution!

Yes…it’s pretty strange.

An eclectic collection of Los Angeles artists in the Roots Rock/Americana vein graced the stage of the legendary Cinema Bar performing a wide range of AC/DC classics.

The show was organized by Dean Chamberlain, and featured a set by his great band, The Honorable DHC - doing their take on It’s a Long Way to the Top If You Wanna Rock and Roll.

Other artists included Rich McCulley, Sarah Stanley, Dan Janisch, Dafni, Grant Langston and Bret Jensen.

New Video Posted - Shiner Bock and Vicodin

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Hi Friends!

Gretchen Horkins used her nifty new Flip Video Camcorder to shoot this video of our newest song, Shiner Bock and Vicodin. It took her a second to flip it, so the first few chords have been snipped, but the rest is in glorious technicolor.

If you have a video of the band that you’d like to share, please drop us a line at grantlangston@gmail.com.

Thanks,

G
